The weights of the newborn puppies all added up together was quite a bit less than our smallest puppy is today. Now everyone added up is quite a bit more than Mom! Not too much room left in this bed.

More play time
Puppies just can't get enough of play time with big sister Cocoa. The feeling is mutual. Cocoa can't stay away from the little ones and spends a lot of time with them. They have so much fun together.

Snow day
Puppies are having lots of adventures playing outside on warmer, sunnier days. They cannot stay outside too long, but will play for a few minutes. Everyone is checking out the deck steps and trying to climb them but cannot quite do it yet. It won't be long, maybe another day or two.

Bath day
Today was the day for puppies first bath. Panda was perfect for both bath and blowdry. Bandit was not impressed with either one and put up a bit of a fuss. Panda, Blaze and Socks were all really good for their bath, a little uncertain of the blowdryer but got used to it after a while. Everyone did very well.

Play and learn
For puppies, playing and exploring is how they learn. Wrestling is a favourite game which helps them learn to control their muscles and strength. So far puppies have mostly been on mats and blankets as they learned to walk. Now that they are much better at walking, running and jumping, they are practicing on different surfaces like tile and hardwood. Those take a bit more control to walk on.

Cocoa's food dish with "big" dog kibble left over. Socks and Splash thought this was quite a find and settled down to empty her dish.

SuperBowl
Puppies were watching the Super Bowl today. After the game, they were practicing the tackle moves they saw on TV
Blaze And Toys
Blaze loves his toys especially now that there are a few very soft toys that he can make squeak. He has not yet figured out that he is the one causing the squeaky noise, but is intrigued when it happens. He thinks tug toys are fun too.

It will be a few weeks yet before all the teeth are in but teething has begun. Panda and Blaze are the first to cut their teeth; canines are just coming in.

Moving Day
Puppies have their snuggle sack bed, a play area and toys, a potty area and a water bottle.
Lunch time
Puppies have graduated to eating out of a flat dish rather than being spoon-fed. Meal times are very messy! In the video, Socks walked right through the dish and then went off to the corner to lick the cereal off his paws. This is not unusual or naughty, it's very normal for puppies to fall or walk into the food dish as they learn. They will get better at it as they grow up.
